Lage

Blücherstraße in Kreuzberg leads from Mehringdamm at its northwest end to Südstern in the southeast. Between Mehringdamm and Urbanstraße, Blücherstraße is busy, but beyond Baerwaldstraße you don't notice any more. The house with the number 32c is located away from the street and is part of the former factory ensemble Blücherhöfe. Along the Fontanepromenade, which leads from Südstern to Urbanstraße, you can perfectly walk your dog and go for a jog. Two blocks further southwest you are already at Marheinkeplatz and Bergmannstraße, which has long been one of the city's most famous promenades. Here, the aesthetically inclined city dweller can find everything his or her heart desires: Pilates and Tai Chi, crime novels at "Hammett", Alpine cuisine at "Austria", Italian at "Molinari", breakfast at "Atlantic" and hip gold at Frau Behrens. The Marheineke Markthalle also has a lot of fans. Of course, you can also head to the other side, towards Urbanstraße, which runs just behind the Blücherstraße sports field, and across it, to the banks, Prinzenbad and Böcklerpark, also only three blocks away. A little way along the water - which is a real eye-catcher, not only during the summer months - and you can have your coffee in the Graefekiez. Or follow Blücherstraße east to Südstern, walk a few hundred metres further and fill up on greenery in Volkspark Hasenheide. At Südstern and Gneisenaustraße you can get to the U7, and at Mehringdamm to the U6. There are also various bus stops in the immediate vicinity. Overall, the public transport connections are very good. Mehringdamm also provides quick access to the city highway.
